Hyacinthe Hill (1920-1989) was born May 24, 1920, in New York City to Joseph Thomas (veterinarian, metallurgist and blacksmith) and Angela (a writer whose maiden name was Bradley-Bruen) Cronin. Hyacinthe attended Paul Hoffman Junior High School and James Monroe High School in the Bronx. In 1940, she married John L. Anderson, a coppersmith, and they had two sons, John Luke and Mark.
